Background:

Saltrick & Saltrick was established by Christopher and Caroline Saltrick as a partnership in 1986, initially based in London. In 1989, the practice then moved to Fordingbridge in Hampshire, while still retaining a London base to service its clients. Over the years, we have specialised in the television and film industry business although not to the detriment of our non-media related clients.


Founding Concepts:

1. To provide a professional but very personal service to our clients.
2. To provide the disciplines and attitudes of a London based firm but at an effective and economic rate.


Development of the Firm

Saltrick & Saltrick developed its client based from scratch, and growth in the early years was enormous. We have however planned to remain "small" so that the personal side of our service was never compromised.


The Firm Today

The firm consists of two partners, Chris and Caroline Saltrick. Chris deals mainly with corporate affairs and business development while Caroline concentrates on the tax side. However, because of our close working relationship, we both remain aware of the current issues concerning all of our clients.

Kerry O'Neill, a fully qualified accountant, has overall responsibility for the audit function while reporting to both Chris and Caroline.

Catherine Elliott-Hunt controls the personal tax function. She has responsibility for preparing self employed accounts and tax returns, VAT returns etc. but also deals with some audit functions.

We believe that even a small firm such as ours can, and should, compete successfully with any other firm in the profession. We feel that the speed of technological change offers the small firm enormous opportunities.

What could only be achieved a few years ago by a business with over thirty employees, can now be dealt with by two or three individuals using new technologies. Small businesses will often feel more comfortable with smaller firms of advisers. The firm is highly computerised in order to provide an effective management tool that enables us to service our clients efficiently.
